The 7th-grade year serves as the capstone of the Hevre Religious School experience and the beginning of each student's B'nai Mitzvah journey. Students continue Sunday morning classes with a focus on Jewish identity, ethics, and leadership, while also receiving individual tutoring to prepare for their B'nai Mitzvah service.

Students also participate in a year-long B'nai Mitzvah Project class. where they design and complete a service project that reflects their personal values and commitment to Tikkun Olam (repairing the world). This class includes guided mentorship, peer collaboration, and structured project work.

Following their B'nai Mitzvah ceremony, students transition into the Ma'ayan 8th-grade pod. At that point, they no longer attend the 9:30 Hebrew session but continue attending the 10:30 Project class to complete the full academic year.

Please review our B’nai Mitzvah Guidelines and Parent Readings.
