At Congregation Beth Israel, we are here to support you through every stage of your Jewish life—with guidance, meaningful rituals, and caring community. Whether celebrating joyous milestones or navigating life’s challenges, our dedicated clergy offer compassionate pastoral care to walk alongside you. If you experience a life-cycle emergency after hours, please call the Temple Office at 480.951.0323 and follow the voicemail instructions to reach the on-call clergy. Let us know how we can support you and celebrate together.

Birth & Baby Naming

We welcome new babies into the Jewish community through Brit Milah (circumcision and naming for boys) and B’rit Banot (naming ceremonies for girls). These ceremonies can take place during a Shabbat service or be arranged privately with our clergy.

Our clergy are available to guide you through the process and help create a meaningful experience for your family.

B’nei Mitzvah

Becoming B’nei Mitzvah is a significant milestone in Jewish life, marking a young person's growth in learning, responsibility, and connection to the Jewish community. At Congregation Beth Israel, our comprehensive program includes Religious School, personalized tutoring, and ongoing support from our clergy and educators.

We are proud to help each student and their family prepare for this meaningful moment with confidence, purpose, and pride. We invite you to learn more about our B’nei Mitzvah Program.

Conversion

Congregation Beth Israel welcomes those who are interested in exploring Judaism and considering conversion. Our clergy guide individuals through a meaningful process of learning, reflection, and spiritual growth, tailored to each person’s journey.

To learn more about beginning this path, please contact our synagogue office at 480.951.0323.

Our mikveh is available for traditional ritual immersions, including those marking conversion to Judaism, preparation for a wedding, or the arrival of a Jewish holiday. For more information or to arrange use of the mikveh, please contact our Clergy Assistant, Austin Winter.

Marriage

Our clergy are honored to officiate Jewish weddings and work closely with each couple to create a meaningful and personalized ceremony. Weddings can be arranged directly with our clergy on an individual basis.

DEATH & MOURNING

Congregation Beth Israel provides meaningful and respectful end-of-life services for our members and their loved ones. Our clergy are available to guide families through funeral and unveiling arrangements with care and compassion. Please contact our office to begin making arrangements.

Shiva Minyan services can be arranged to support mourners and provide comfort during the days following a loss. For more information, to request these services, or to begin making arrangements, please contact our office.

We honor the memory of loved ones by reading their names during Shabbat services on or near the anniversary of their passing. Temple members can receive Yahrzeit reminders in advance. To request reminders or ensure a name is read, please contact Robin Roeder.
